Tax Audits and Why You Should Photocopy Checks

If you are worried that the IRS will audit you, take note that when it comes to IRS audits, there are actually two things you need to worry about: (a) documentation for deductions taken in the filing and (b) supporting documents for your bank accounts. At first, it may seem strange that the IRS should ask for your bank account statements. After all, if the IRS is just auditing your car, why should they comb your bank statements?
