Hey, there’s a secret aerosol spraying program going on worldwide. Search “chemtrails”, “Dont talk about the weather” and “Endgame HQ”. Check my chan – I watched it happen. Wake up, wake others, we need ya.

Those poor rich people, being faced with the exact same tax rates as during the Reagan years!
Capitalism does has a shortcoming; when rich people start hoarding money and don’t put it back into circulation (which would involve buying things of all sorts, which puts people to work) people suffer. If a multi-millionaire loses an extra $250,000 on taxes, you’re gonna have to excuse me for not crying for them.

Not only that, Christians, but the Christmas season officially runs all the way up to Epiphany, 6 January. Don’t forget that. If you are not going to be OF the world, then observe the Church’s calendar and not the secular one.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
And a note to Christians: when someone says “Happy Holidays” you don’t need to be offended. Let’s not forget that in the Christian way, December encompasses TWO Christian holy seasons: Advent (which began last Sunday) AND Christmas. Officially, Christmas doesn’t begin until sundown on 24 December. Right now, today (5 December) we are supposed to be marking Advent.

And to those Germanic heathens I say: Glad Yuletide. I know your holy tide is coming up on the winter solstice, and I know it is a time of great joy and warmth and gathering with friends and family. Have a wonderful 12 Days of Yule. Peace and light and life attend you and your families.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
Oh, and by the way, lest there is any confusion: Germanic heathens (for there are people continuing those traditions into our modern times) have a “Tree of Life” called Yggdrasil, with Nine Worlds that hang upon it. The Jews also have a Tree of Life upon which hang the Ten Sephiroth. I’m sure other cultures also have a Tree of Life. So don’t think that the Tree is exclusively a Christmas thing. It’s not. But it is beautiful that a tree IS included in Christmas celebrations.

Come on, Farmboy, learn some of your religious history a little better than that. Or are you one of those Christians who think the world is only 6K years old, the King James Bible was written by the hand of Jesus himself and delivered whole to Christianity just as it is, and nothing existed before the Bible? Come on; I’m Methodist and I know better than all that.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
Farmboy said: “It is a Christmas tree. What religion began the tradition? That’s right, Christianity.”
No Farmboy, that is incorrect. Decorated trees, wreaths, wassail, Yule logs, etc – all these come from Northern European Germanic indigenous practices; you might call those people “heathens”. They are all from pre-Christian Germanic traditions.
Farmboy said: “How many other religions use a tree? Exactly.”
The aforementioned heathens did and the Jews do too.

Politics aside and on the topic of Christmas traditions…a few steps away from the National Tree, right on the Ellipse, is a deep pit wherein many logs are deposited by forklift and burned for the entire month of December. This is the National Yule Log. It is a beautiful thing, to go to see this on a cold DC night and feel the warmth and light of the fire. Go see it if you can.

Apparently you have never read what Eisenhower wrote about the Military Industrial Complex i.e., how huge coroporations advance war in order to make billions. KInd of like the Iraq war that has lead this country into bankruptcy. You know, illegally invading a country and dropping cruise missles on civilans killing hudreds of thousands of people. The only miracle I see is when the people of this country wake up and discover no one represents them. That’s when things will really change!
December 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
well there you go, youre a damn sympathizer. “its just different” is idiotic to say because its as different as axe murderers are to upstanding citizens.
it wasnt spreading the wealth that made America the #1 country in the world, it was individual effort and innovation. “spreading the wealth” (which is what socialists do by the way) KILLS that.
you make me laugh with your junk about adopting socialist ideas and making them capitalist. theyre night and day.

Merry Christmas USA!!
Best wishes from Holland.

czubspenx: WOW I feel bad for you! Don’t you understand it will get worse before it gets better and all Obama has done so far is set the foundations for the future. If you don’t understand that some wars need to be fought I also feel bad for you. What I understand is that you will be one of the minorities sitting on the fence watching a miracle happen in disgust!

Keep cheering because it’s just like Bush is in office. Nothing has changed. Both parties are controlled by the same special interests. The bailouts continue, the wars are escalated, openess and transparency are non existent, the congress and the senate keep pushing us further in debt, the middle class continues to shrink, etc. So, again, should we pull the troops out of the Mideast as Obama promised and spend money here or continue to shovel money down a rat hole?
December 5th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
Not really, but until there’s a credible opposition I’ll still be cheering for President Obama because he’s an intelligent, good and honorable man even if he makes some decisions I disagree with. I definitely can’t say as much for his opposition, including people like you who claim that he’s intentionally destroying the country.
Just because you don’t like President Obama doesn’t mean that he’s a traitor. He was elected President by the will of the people. Deal with it!!!
